Pitchfork decided to randomly review the B-side to "Smile". Lily Allen “Cheryl Tweedy” [2006]Just so you know, Cheryl Tweedy is one of the lassies from UK pop group Girls Aloud, and is married to a famous soccer player, so this is ostensibly some kind of diss song between two girls who know little misfortune. It probably could be taken face-value as Lily wishing she could look like Cheryl, but Lily's hardly a straight shooter. It is, though, Allen's concession to a privileged life with her wishing for sobriety, fewer parties, and maybe more meaning. But with the downtempo dancehall beat and massaging keyboards, it's probably just her hangover talking. At this point, you either love or hate Lily's entitled mannerisms, and "Cheryl Tweedy" won't do much to change your mind. www.pitchforkmedia.com/page/track_reviews/38616/Lily_Allen_Cheryl_Tweedy#38616

I love this. (Obviously)
I remember reading how Cheryl liked the song and how she was flattered that Lily wanted to be like her. Then, Lily went on to clarify and say that she doesn't like Cheryl at all and that it's a song making fun of all the people who look up to super-skinny celebs. Gotta love that LA.

This is better than about 50% of her album.

I don't like this song a lot, it's a bit annoying. The production is alright.

What will she say, then, when a fan comes up to her and says "thanks, you've been a great inspiration"?
