A Hot 100 top ten single in 1980, "The Winner Takes It All" is about the divorce of ABBA group-members Björn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Fältskog. Sure, it's just as cheesy as all of their singles, but I really do love this one. youtube.com/watch?v=xK3mVxGfzPY

Cheesy, but I like it. My favorite ballad by them is easily "Knowing Me, Knowing You."

Does "One For Sorrow" sample this? It sounds so insanely similar.
Sorry if that's a stupid question, but I've never actually heard this before.

I think it's just heavily inspired by this song, like a lot of early Steps songs were very ABBA based.
I love this. It's a complete classic. One of the best sad pop songs of all time.
