wm.allaccess.com/allaccess/jayzjock.wmaJay performed this onstage with Kanye at the Glow In The Dark tour stop in NYC last night. They are working on The Blueprint 3 together. He promised to play a track for the concertgoers, but didn't tell them he had a bonus. As the bass kicked in for a song that is sure to heat up the clubs and streets before the summer is done, Jay-Z walked out and started to rap.
You would have needed the computer-chip-enhanced hearing of the Bionic Woman to make out everything the Brooklyn native was saying over the roar of the crowd. But his rap started off with a reference to his recent verbal dust-up with Oasis leader Noel Gallagher, who objected to a hip-hop artist (Jay) headlining England's traditionally rock-oriented Glastonbury festival earlier this summer: "That bloke from Oasis said I couldn't play guitar / Somebody shoulda told him I'm a f---in' rock star." He went on to rap about his female fans, including the line, "I'm like, 'Life ain't fair/ Chill, baby girl, my girl is here.' "
Kanye kept yelling a chorus that sounded like "Jockin' Jay-Z, jockin' Jay-Z." And there was no mistaking Jigga's call of "Blueprint 3," getting the crowd excited for the second sequel to one of the cornerstones of his lauded catalog of classics. Rumors of the album began this January, when a track called "Ain't I" leaked, but Jay's reps denied that the song was new.

This is HOT!
Kanye SLAYED the beat and hook!
I can't help but feel Jay is past his prime, though...he seems so over the hill now.

The studio version leaked. This is so f**king hot. I want Kanye to do the whole album. I'm tired of Timbaland, and he and Pharrell need a break.

I can't believe how well this is doing. I mean, he didn't really start recording "The Blueprint 3" yet.

If this is a comeback single, very disappointing. It makes an okay hater.

Aug 20 2008 7:40 PM EDT Jay-Z, Oasis Come Together (Unofficially) On New Mixtape -- Listen To A Preview Here! A separate DJ mixed Oasis' 'Wonderwall' with Jay's 'Jockin' Jay-Z' to make the track 'Jackin' Jay-Z.'
By Shaheem Reid
Jay-Z said he doesn't have any negative feelings toward Oasis, even though guitarist Noel Gallagher said he didn't think it was appropriate for Jigga to headline this year's Glastonbury Festival in England. Jay even said he would be open to working with Oasis in the future if the right idea and right music were to come about.
Well, a few DJs have pushed the collaboration further along, without involving either party. Mash-up time!
On Tuesday, a blend of the artists, put together by DJ Danny Diggz, hit the Net. The spinner laid the vocals of Oasis' "Wonderwall" over the Kanye West-produced thump of "Jockin' Jay-Z." The result is the song "Jackin' Jay-Z."
On Wednesday (August 20), a trio of producers from Spain called Cookin' Soul released the mixtape OJayZis: Jay-Z vs. Oasis. The mixtape takes the vocals from some of Jay's greatest hits and matches them with the beats and choruses from various Oasis records.
Cookin' Soul released a statement on 2DopeBoyz.com saying they made the street CD in one night. "You know we had to do it," the post said. "Yeah, it is today's beef ... or should we say today's biggest promo move? We, too, we on a promo move. It's been our hardest work so far. Don't even try it at home. Oasis ain't the Delfonics, if you know what we mean."
Among the blends you'll find is "99 Supersonic Problems," which features the lyrics from Jay's "99 Problems" and the music from Oasis' "Supersonic." "Justify It Out" mixes "Justify My Thug" from The Black Album with "Go Let It Out" from Oasis' Standing on the Shoulder of Giants. And, of course, you're going to hear what Young Hov sounds like over "Wonderwall." Cookin' Soul bakes "The Ruler's Back" from The Blueprint over the Brits' classic for the track "Wonderback."
OJayZis isn't Cookin' Soul's first Jay-Z mixtape: They've also concocted Billboard Gangsters, which married the music of Jigga and Elvis Presley.
