You're joking, right?
That title alone basically guarantees that this is going to be a crapfest. And what happened to that "long break" they were supposedly taking?

I am so sick of their videos about death. Looks like we'll be getting a new concept!
Oh, no, wait...

Based on title and artist, I am going to throw out a wild card and guess that this will be a horrific recycle of all their previous hits.

C'mon, Nickelback. Learn some grammar. It should be "If Today WERE Your Last Day". That's going to drive me crazy!

Mutt Lange produced this song. Maybe, just maybe, this could be the new song to re-do 9 times.

Goes for adds March 31st. This is actually pretty good. It should've been the first single.

Probably their best option. I don't think it's as catchy as "Gotta Be Somebody," though.

This is surprisingly solid melodically, but the lyrics and vocals are gruesome as always. It's got a +277 bullet at #43, which isn't necessarily terrible but certainly nothing impressive. Roadrunner really flubbed by waiting so long for a release following "Gotta Be Somebody."

Straight shot to the Top 30 and likely beyond. Very little in recent memory has tested my gag reflex quite like this insipid garbage. It's as if someone dared Chad Kroeger to construct a song entirely of cliches, and he obliged. Imagine a rock rendition of Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying" completely stripped of all emotion and lyrical creativity. "Gotta Be Somebody" grew on me, but this is right back at the bottom as far as Nickelback is concerned.

Yet another Nickelback slow burner...Top 15 with a +335 bullet. The chart's currently pretty crowded from about #15 upwards, and since this won't get support from rhythmic-based stations, a Top 10 berth will be difficult. This will probably be a "Gotta Be Somebody" scenario, with a similar peak and recurrent longevity.
I like-ish this now. I've always enjoyed it melodically and it sounds better when you drop the random chord at the introduction and slam straight into the vocals, but I'm still having trouble stomaching the sappy-beyond-belief lyrics.
