I like this!!!! Lyrics written up from a fan. I don't wanna be the girl who laughs the loudest Or the girl who never wants to be alone I don't wanna be that call at 4 o'clock in the morning 'Cos I'm the only one you know when the ...... wont be home Aahh the sun is blinding I stayed up again Oohh, I am finding That's not the way I want my start again I'm safe Up high Nothing can touch me But why do I feel this party's over? No pain Inside You're like protection How do I feel this good sober? I don't wanna be the girl who has to fill the silence Cryin scares me cause this was the truth Please don't tell me that we had that conversation I remember seein ur breath cause whats the use Aahh, the end is calling And Whispers to me softly come to play ? Aahh, im am falling And If I let myself go I'm the only one to blame I'm safe Up high Nothing can touch me But why do I feel this party's over? No pain Inside You're like perfection How do I feel this good sober I'm coming down, coming down, coming down Spinning 'round, spinning 'round, spinning 'round Looking for myself - SOBER (x2) When it's good, then it's good, it's so good till it go's bad Till you're trying to find the you that you once had I have heard myself cry, never again Broken down in agony just tryna find a friend Ooo Oooo I'm safe Up high Nothing can touch me But why do I feel this party's over? No pain Inside You're like perfection How do I feel this good sober OOooo OOoo No Pain Inside Nothing can touch me But why do I feel this party's over? No pain Inside You're like perfection How do I feel this good sober? Will i ever feel this good sober, tell me, no no no no no pain How do i feel this good sober?

This is blah for me. I REALLY hope it isn't a single, because it would flop miserably.

I have a feeling I'll enjoy the studio version a lot more than that - it pretty much just sounded like noise though.

The song is co-produced by Tony Kanal from No Doubt. In a possible tracklist its said Sober (feat Tony Kanal). can it be a duet? The song Funhouse is also co-produced by Tony!
Also Sober is now listed in Mediabase. Possibly the second single?

Also Sober is now listed in Mediabase. Possibly the second single? The other new song "Please Don't Leave Me" is also listed on Mediabase. Both songs are showing they got two spins each. So it doesn't mean anything.

What instrument does Tony play?? I was listening to this song and it sounds like a song that would do well on Alternative. Maybe they threw Tony's name on there for that reason.

This really sounds like a Kelly Clarkson track, and not only because of title.

LOL! Well, it does, but it also sounds like a Pink track. Their style is as different as regular vanilla and french vanilla. Practically the same sh*t, just slightly different. lol This song sounds like it would have fit on Try This or I'm Not Dead.

2nd single!
According to BMG Italy the next single taken from "Funhouse" will be SOBER. The single will be release in USA in late November. The video will be directed by Jonas Akerlund (Madonna “Ray Of Light,” “Music,” Christina Aguilera “Beautiful,” and U2’s “Beautiful Day.”) She'll film the video this weekend.

"Who Knew" sounds like a Kelly Clarkson song. This sounds like a Kelly Clarkson song. I don't mind, Pink makes Kelly Clarkson sound good! I'm excited for this single.

I'm tired of her and kelly clarkson making the same damn song over and over again. This blows.

I liked that performance. But ugh @ her backup singers. They suck so bad.
This is the perfect second single. I can see this being HUGE.

The "radio edit" blows - the bridge (the best part of the song) is gone.

^Well it may not be what they will use as an official radio edit. I was just taking a guess. haha

I just don't think this is going to be "huge" like everyone is expecting. Maybe four years ago, but in general, Pop radio is a whole different landscape now. Everything is far poppier, far more in your face, and there's much more novelty now than ever.
No offense to "So What" - it's actually really great, but substance-wise it's not her best single. Look at those Katy Perry singles, and look at how well the new Britney Spears single is performing. You know things are different when Mariah's cooky, mid-tempo sex jam goes to No. 1, but her ballad-by-the-numbers (no matter how awful) barely scratches the top 20. None of these songs will be relevant in five years...it's like all the kids these days are getting a taste of their favorite flavor and moving on to the next thirty seconds later without even thinking about the previous.
This song doesn't grab you instantly. It's different, and it's pretty dark, and yeah, it sounds like a "My December" track. I don't think even "Long Way To Happy" (which is far superior, IMO) would do all that well.
That being said, "Please Don't Leave Me" would make a fantastic second single. It's immediately recognizable, but it's not just a novelty track. It's just as emotional and meaningful, but it's easy on the ears and extremely pleasant - like "Who Knew" or "Just Like A Pill," people will remember it long down the road.
