So, this year's Christmas #1 will sound something like this...

Is it a Leonard Cohen remake?

Nevermind. Diana probably won't win anymore.

The studio version is pleasant, but I'm far from blown away.

She sounds good on this, but this song is so overdone.

I am obsessed with this. Her vocals are flawless.

Jason Castro unknowingly turned this into one of the most popular songs this year. He sang it on idol, and then song went #1 on itunes, and then Kate Voegele did her version of it, and now this. lol It may have always been popular, but the amount of attention this song has received this year has been insane for an old hit.

I remember this from The O.C. using the Jeff Buckley version a couple years ago. And of course, can't forget the Rufus Wainwright version from Shrek.

Jeff Buckley's version is one of my favorite songs ever.

This was the ONLY single that HMV was selling today (apart from "Hero" by the X-Factor Finalists!), it made me sad because it means that CD singles are now officially dead, and the Christmas No.1 is once again going to be an average cover. Jeff Buckley is up to No.3 in the midweeks, but the OCC are investigating multiple downloading by the same buyers which may make his version chart ineligible. Leonard Cohen's original is also set to make the Top 40!!

I wish they could have the balls to release a pop song, instead of an over-produced, dated and dramatic cover for the X Factor winner.
