I realized there's no topic on this in the pop forum and it's about to hit #1.
I like it, but it just doesn't feel like a #1 song.

It does to me...everyone knows it and seems to love it. I mean, I know a song is a major hit when the adult members of my family know (and like) it...lol
We had a 40th birthday party for my uncle at the beginning of January and I played some CD's, "Low" was the most popular song at the party, and there was nobody under 30 there (besides me).

It definitely doesn't feel like a #1 song to me- especially at Pop.
This is so hot in the clubs but kind of boring the rest of the time.

This TOTALLY sounds like a #1 song to me, although that may just be because he's named after my state I know this is petty, but the outfits T-Pain keeps talking about in the hook are ugly. "Apple Bottom jeans, boots with the furrrrr" .... didn't Uggs go out of style seasons ago? and how did they let someone in the club wearing baggy sweatpants and strappy Reeboks anyway? I don't love it, don't hate it. Some of the lyrics are so dumb they're funny. "Makin' it rain/i'm makin' it SNOW!"

Uggs are still all the rage...but I dont think he is referring to Uggs. I always took it to mean boots with fur at the top.
and there is a way to make sweatpants and Reeboks trendy. It may not sound like it, but...I can picture it.

Will, is this doing anything in the UK yet? I know it isn't on the radio... but do you hear it in clubs and stuff?

Wow. This doesn't at all feel as big as either "Hollaback Girl" or "Gold Digger".

You'd be hard pressed to find a girl that didn't wear them. He probably was referring to the fuggs, the fake knock off ones people buy at like target.

Finally grown on me. I'm not obsessed or anything but I enjoy hearing this now.
And for the record, this definitely feels like the across-the-board #1 smash that it is. Not that this is exactly the most reliable indicator of a smash hit, but at my school's disco dance last month this was the only non-disco song that was played and everyone went crazy.

Yea, totally...everyone knows this song, like I said, when you've got 40-50 year old white people knowing and "enjoying" it, then...yea
