WOW! This is really really good. It goes for the southern sound while still being Kelis. To bad it won't be a huge hit like "Milkshake" I could see it going number one on urban though.

This is hot as hell. It didn't need Short on it. I'm GLAD it doesn't sound like that annoying "Milkshake" crap. It's still ghetto Kelis though.
This is from her 3rd/4th album, "Badaboom," scheduled for a January 17th release.

After a few listens, I think me likes. It's not what I was expecting though...and I'm not sure how far it will go.

I think this is Too Short's song. No. The hook says something like "I'm the one that brought the boys to the yard" or something. Short only does one verse. And this is already annoying me.

I quite like it...it's not as catchy as MILKSHAKE,so I don't think it will be a huge hit,but it's a decent single!

www.mtv.com/news/articles/1517626/12072005/kelis.jhtml?headlines=trueKelis Preparing To Get 'Bossy' With Her Next 'Strong Kind Of Girl Record' CULVER CITY, California — Another round of "Milkshake" coming right up. The first single from Kelis' new album isn't a sequel to her 2003 smash, but it's close enough. "It's just another strong kind of girl record — " 'The puppeteer' basically means I pull all the strings. It just means being in control." — Kelis it's a lot of fun," Kelis said of the tune, called "Bossy." "I don't take myself too seriously. I like to do what I do and get out there and play with people. It's one of those obnoxious things, and people love it or hate it, and that's fine with me." Kelis is shooting the "Bossy" video later this month and releasing the track in January. Her fourth album, The Puppeteer, is due in the spring. " 'The puppeteer' basically means I pull all the strings," Kelis said as she worked the red carpet at the VH1 Big in '05 Awards. "I like to think of myself as a trendsetter, and it sort of just means being in control." "Bossy" features an appearance from veteran rapper Too Short ("I love him," Kelis said) while husband Nas also pops up on the album. ("It's kind of explosive — it's a good one," she said. "You'll have to wait for that one.") Otherwise, there are no other guests. "I'm a solo artist, and I do solo albums," Kelis said. "I always have a few special people, but generally it's just a lot of me." As for producers, Kelis worked with usual suspects Scott Storch, Damon Elliott and Raphael Saadiq, as well as Max Martin, best known for his work with Britney Spears and, more recently, Kelly Clarkson. "I feel really good about it," Kelis said. "I worked really hard, and it took me what seems like forever, so I'm just ready to let it out." — Corey Moss
