May 6 2009 2:01 PM EDT Jonas Brothers Get 'Paranoid' On New Record Band Tweets about finishing the video for the first single from Lines, Vines and Trying Times.
By Jocelyn Vena
In the past, the Jonas Brothers have been "Burnin' Up" and calling for an "SOS" when it came to their love lives — er, we mean, singles — but now the guys are just plain "Paranoid."
And on Tuesday, they Tweeted that they recently finished work on the video for the new song, the first single from their upcoming album Lines, Vines and Trying Times. "And that would be a wrap on the 'Paranoid' music video," they wrote, adding a picture of themselves on the set, looking quite happy with their work.
The video was directed by the Malloys, who worked with the brothers on their "Burnin' Up" music video. The song is set for radio release on Friday with the video premiere sometime after that, reports Aceshowbiz.com. A 30-second snippet of the song that leaked to the Web shows the song's similarity to their others — it's another catchy, pop-rock tune, this time with the boys singing about, well, being paranoid.
The boys have said that the new album, set for release on June 16, is their most personal work so far. "We're really proud of it. It's a good step for who we are as musicians," Joe Jonas told MTV News. "As we get older, so does our music. There's a lot more horns, and it's really fun. I think people are going to be able to jam out to it in their cars or their mom's cars ... or their boom boxes."
The group got a publicity boost from an unexpected source this week, when dance-pop singer Lady Gaga compared the frenzy surrounding the JoBros to the one brought about by the Beatles back in the 1960s. "[The Beatles] were responsible for the birth of the sexual revolution for women," she told British tab the Daily Star. "Now we have the Jonas Brothers representing the return of the superfan."

This sounds like more Maroon 5 copy a la "Burnin' Up", this time a ballad. Only it's not catchy and the vocals are intolerable.

LMAO @ Lady GaGa being quoted as an expert pop culture expert/historian It's not really catchy, but I think that this is going to be their biggest hit.

I hope not. They need to go away. They suck. The Beatles were atleast original and creative. Not to mention talented. The Jo Bros suck.

why are you comparing them to The Beatles?

^ He didn't. Lady GaGa did, because of the Beatlemania caused in their fans. But those comparisons are always overstated anyway. How is the reaction to the Jonas Brothers any different from Sinatra/Elvis/NKOTB/Backstreet Boys/'N Sync etc. etc.

Fifth most added on Pop - new stations include KISSFM/Seattle, WBLI and KZHT. I have every intention of delaying hearing/suffering through this for as long as possible.

Pretty much. It's doing the same as their last singles, it blows up the phones with their fanbase but no one else seems interested.
