"The Corner" is my favorite song from Common's album Be. It was a really refreshing hip-hop track -- well-produced, lyrically meaningful and (of course) hot to death. It took me a good year to stop playing this one.
This is one of the best singles of his career IMO. It stands on its own, right alongside his classic 1990s material. It deserved to be a much bigger hit (didn't even make the hot 100), especially as the first promoted single from the album.
