If their “Video Phone” collaboration wasn’t already enough, it has been revealed that Beyonce will feature on Lady GaGa’s new song “Telephone”, which will appear on GaGa’s upcoming album re-release The Fame: Monster.
Lady GaGa and Darkchild originally wrote and produced the song specifically for Britney Spears Circus album, but Brit decided not to include it.
It’s rumoured that “Telephone” will be released as the follow-up single to “Bad Romance”, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
In the meantime you can keep an eye out for the “Video Phone” music video, which should premiere soon. The clip was directed by Hype Williams and will contain “lots of choreography” and “insane” fashion.

Kind of a weird feature, but good on her. This should be interesting.

I really wanna hear this. Me too. The album hits stores in less than 2 weeks, so it should be leaking any day now.

Beyonce brings it. The song is a mess, though. I can't see this or "Video Phone" being hits.

This is fun. If it is the second single, it'll definitely be a hit. It'll be following potentially 5 pop number ones (at the very least 5 consecutive top 5 pop hits) and feautures two very popular artists.
Video Phone, on the other hand, isn't going anywhere unless the iTunes release is like extremly well planned/timed or something (aka releasing it the same day as its eventual video premiere perhaps)

Why did Britney reject this?? This is hotter than like 95% of Circus.

She really whips through her singles fast! This is definitely HOT but I'm not sure if it'll be as big as all her past singles.

This is a Britney reject? Did Gaga write it?

Yes. It was given to Britney cause GaGa had finished The Fame already when this song was done. So she gave it to Britney to use on Circus, but Britney didn't use it. Amnesia & Quicksand are 2 other GaGa tracks that were given to Britney, and those became bonus tracks.

I don't think Britney reject is accurate. Gaga wrote it, but too late to be put on The Fame. It was then offered to Britney for Circus with Darkchild as producer, but it never came together. Then, Gaga wanted to record to song featuring Britney but Britney wanted to record it herself to be a single off her Singles Collection. So, Gaga pulled the song from Britney and recorded it featuring Beyonce instead.

Why did Britney reject this?? This is hotter than like 95% of Circus. I disagree. Circus might not be as good as Blackout or In The Zone, but it's high quality, well-produced, driving dance pop. Structurally and production-wise, this pales in comparison to any of the Circus highlights. Rodney jerkins hasn't produced a good song in almost ten years.

The beat is hot, but it's just kind of there for me. Britney would've taken it to another level. Lady GaGa sounds bored and flat on it.

This is f**king HOTTTT!!! I wonder if it will rocket to #1... this would have been a smash if Britney released this instead of '3'

This is f**king HOTTTT!!! I wonder if it will rocket to #1... this would have been a smash if Britney released this instead of '3' 3 is a #1 smash already, so it's doing just fine for itself. As for this song, it's okay but 3 is more polished and catchier IMO.

I know, I am just saying...if Britney went with this instead of '3', I'm sure it would have been just as big.

Oh, I know you didn't really mean that. I'm kinda glad she didn't go with this song though. She would've gotten so much flack for copying Gaga's sound to get a hit.
