This song is okay, but not eventful for Celine at all. She restricted herself to AC radio which was probably a smart move at first since she wasn't going to appeal to pop radio anymore, but now she's putting out the most boring ballads ever. I haven't loved a single by her since "Have You Ever Been In Love" and she hasn't had a real hit since then either at the format.

I have been liking this one for some time now. This one will do just fine on AC.

This is just crap. I have only heard the french/english version and it was really bad. Wake up, Céline.

That review is so true (well, I havne't heard the song, but about her career, it's so true.) That's what Celine gets though for making such a huge media circus out of her "retirement," and then coming back with a new album the next year... and the next year... and the next year (you get the point). AC radio could care less about image, so there's no reason to stop playing her, but she oversaturates them with rushed material, and she's kind of a joke because of her "retirement."

How often do things go for adds at AC? Every week. Really? I never hear anything that hasn't already been played to death on Pop or HAC on my local AC station.

Almost every song on my AC station is an old pop ballad from the '90s. I was just wondering how often songs go for adds on AC, because I rarely hear anything new.
Sorry, I'm a litte slow this evening. ;D

Okay then songs go for adds every week. I didn't know if you were asking that or how often consecutive singles by the same artist go for adds. In that case, sometimes it takes anywhere from 6 months to a year and a half. lol

She can't even make the Top 5 most added at her core format anymore... and it only required 8 adds.

Maybe the 2 songs killed each other? I find it strange to release 2 song the same week when your latest album wasn't big and is more than 1 year old. How many AC flops has she had since "Have You Ever Been In Love" ?.

Well this was from a new album. Her flops since "Have You Ever Been In Love"...
Stand By Your Side (#17 AC) You And I (#16 AC) Beautiful Boy (#18 AC) In Some Small Way (#28 AC) I Believe In You (DNC) Dance With My Father (DNC)

I'm actually surprised "You And I" charted so low. That one was somewhat strong for the format. The rest though, I mean, it's just a big joke.

I really liked Celine in her "Falling Into You" and "Let's Talk About Love" eras, but since then she's been putting even more boring songs (I Want You To Need Me, Then You Look At Me..). I really liked "Have You Ever Been In Love" though.

I only really got into four of her singles this decade. I loved "That's The Way It Is" and I think "Have You Ever Been In Love" is one of her strongest ballads ever. "A New Day Has Come" was nice and "I'm Alive" too. Everything else though has been totally disposable. Celine used to get played at AC with ANYTHING, and if singers from the 60's and 70's who are putting out garbage retread of old hits and covers can go Top 5 there's absolutely no reason Celine can't, but she keeps putting out songs that have no appeal whatsoever. I mean how hard is it for an adult contemporary singer who makes millions and millions of dollars in Vegas and doesn't even write her own music to get a decent AC song written for her? I feel like she's given up on radio at this point. She's lazy in regards to the studio aspect of her career and is content with what she's bringing in in Vegas.

Her last single that's up to her standards is "That's The Way It Is," which I don't even consider this decade. Her "hits" this decade are really mediocre. To be honest, I'm surprised by how well she did at Pop with "A New Day Has Come" considering how closed Pop was to AC music at the time. Pop was even more close-minded to AC than they are now! And there comes Celine Dion, a power vocalist singing a Hallmark song about motherhood, competing with the Ashanti/J. Lo nightmares of the time. I think it deserved to peak higher there, but looking back, it did rally good for its time. Then I think releasing "I Drove All Night" was really smart, because using the Dance angle was about the only way Celine would get any Pop spins at all. But that seems like a fluke to me, because Celine's singles since all seem like intentional attempts to avoid getting airplay. I've never even HEARD many of her songs in recent years- I have no idea what they even sound like! All I know is all her singles this decade suck compared to her 90's material. I also remember downloading "Faith" when I saw it was a single in Canada, and thinking "wow, Celine still could be good if she wanted to be." That would have been a good single choice, not "Stand By Your Side."

A song who misses the 5 most added list can enter the AC Chart so fast?

To make it to #36 on the AC chart, all they basically need is two stations that instantly put this in their Top 10. #36 on the AC chart takes almost no spins.
