Sam Adam's is a Boston rapper who named himself, geniously, after his city's famous brand of beer.
He's a white preppy rapper. I'd say he's this year's Asher Roth.
This song is #32 on iTunes. I think its HOT! I'm actually kind of impressed.

Whoa, I didn't catch that sample at first! Yeah the sample is hot. The synths in this song are so hot.

LMAO at the Annie Lennox sample. Sorry, but I think this is almost worse than Asher Roth.

#19 on iTunes
I actually don't even like the Annie Lennox song that it samples, but I love its use here. The sample is kind of subtle and just adds to its catchiness. I also think it's really hot how he uses synths to enhance his song without MAKING them his song.

Have you listened to the rest of his material? Unlike Asher Roth, none of his songs are about novelty subjects. He's worked with all unknown producers on his songs and the result sounds more professional than most big time commercial rappers' latest output. Plus he has his own rapping style and sounds on point. I liked Asher for a minute, but this guy actually impresses me.

"Swang" is fun in a "Low" novelty-in-a-club way, but everything about him, from his rapping, to the production, to the subject matter, to his name, to the use of auto-tune, to the fact that he looks like Lil Chris screams novelty.

I hope radio chooses this over "I'm Awesome". It's novelty but it works.

Just because they are white rappers doesn't mean they are novelty. He and Asher Roth are more talented then 75% of other rappers both lyrically and delivery wise.

"Walking on Broken Glass" is one of my favorite songs of the 90's, but I feel like this song samples it tastefully.

They got to comfortable with this song's instant success so they raised the price from $.99 to $1.29. That killed it on iTunes.

Awesome video!
I could have done without the mom's phone call though. So corny.

I'm surprised an adds date hasn't popped up yet. He's been talking to a bunch of major labels. I guess once he eventually gets signed, this will go for adds immediately if they have any sense.

I agree, can't get enough of this. He's on an indie label though, don't expect much.

I also think this is one of 2010's best singles. I've introduced it to so many people both in NJ and England and EVERYONE loves it too.
I think once he gets signed to a major, this may get pushed as a single but that could still take months.
