After flopping unfairly while the I'm Not Dead era got off to a rocky start, the career resurgence enabled by "U + Ur Hand" allowed Jive to re-release this during summer 2007. Brilliant move, as this became her second consecutive #1 at Pop radio and a Top 10 on the Hot 100.
It's no secret that I'm a Pink fan, but for my money, this is not only her career's best song, but one of the best - if not the best - pop songs of the 2000s. The haunting lyrics are universal and vastly more powerful than the average pop song's. While I wouldn't necessarily give the arrangement originality points, it fits perfectly and the chord progression during the chorus really heightens the vibe and is a personal favorite aspect of the song. Finally, the pained emotion in Pink's vocals is palpable and unquestionably makes the song.
It's one of only a few songs that I can still play multiple times a day years after its release without even remotely burning it out or making it any less special. Simply a perfect pop record, as far as I'm concerned.

My favorite Pink song and single!!! simply AMAZING! the last part of the song with her emotional voice and the strings arrangement is FLAWLESS.

Yep... best Pink song ever. I agree it's in the Top 10 of solo female Pop songs of the 00's. It's right up there with "Say It Right" and "All You Wanted."

I never loved this. I acknowledge that its well produced and put together, but it never did anything for me. I've never been a big fan of any of the singles from this album, actually. My favourite song from I'm Not Dead is the title track.
