I remember this was REALLY big when I was in Tampa, FL in early 2005. It was ALWAYS on WLLD Wild, the local CHR/Rhythmic station there.
Of course, it blew up everywhere else by the Fall.
Reached #13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100

I thought it was really bizarre that this became a hit, but I liked it.

Yea, when I first heard it I couldn't believe it was actually getting airplay and people LIKED it. It was like #1 on all these daily countdowns in Tampa. It sounded like she was just whispering over a beat that anyone could have made on their computer. It was so boring at first, but was definitely a grower.

I liked it just because it was simple and chilling to listen to. But her voice is just awful. I'm surprised Pop liked this so much. I haven't listened to this since 2005.

Ha! I loved the mellow throwback vibe and in a weird way, her paper-thin vocals fit, so I enjoyed this in early 2005. Considering that it sounded about 15 years old in 2005 though, it pretty much goes without saying that this sounds hilariously dated now. I bet that if you played the hook today for a room filled with CHR radio listeners, the vast majority wouldn't recognize it.

Ah, yes a one-hit wonder from the 00s. I liked this mellow chune, but I knew she wasn't gonna get another hit after that.
