I like this at the moment, but I could see it getting annoying. Reminds me of "Destination Calabria".

I love it. It should have been a big hit in the UK.

There's an awesome mash up with Kanye West.

There's an awesome mash up with Kanye West. It's not a mash up. He actually liked the song and jumped on it himself. Also Lumidee did a version of this. ROFLLLLLL

The Kanye version has pulled in a couple of adds in the US. Could we be looking at an actual hit on American radio that is mostly in French? ALL French if some stations play the original?

Erik Hassle recorded a version of this with the verses in English. I still prefer the original version in French by miles, but it's cool to hear the lyrical meaning of the song to get a better feel for the atmosphere of the song.

This was huge here in Quebec. As much as I like Erik, his version does nothing for me.

This was huge here in Quebec. As much as I like Erik, his version does nothing for me. What's radio like in Quebec? Are there separate French and English stations or will the main Pop stations mix all the hits together (like this one)?

Montreal has a couple of English-only stations, but pretty much all of the French-language Pop/Hot AC/Rhythmic stations across the province will mix the two languages. That said, I did occasionally hear this on the English stations as well, which is pretty uncommon.

Sounds cool! Quebec is a fascinating place imo.
Yeah this song was HUGE in every continent in continental Europe. It even got some minor UK airplay which is uncommon for a non-English language song. I even heard it in NYC clubs before!!
