Jazmine Sullivan comes back with a vengeance on “Holding You Down (Goin’ in Circles),” the first offering from her sophomore album. Missy Elliott is behind the boards again, providing an old-school sample for the Grammy-nominated songstress. This is a song both hip-hop and R&B heads can appreciate.

Sampling "Affirmative Action" was a hot move. This sounds 90's which is what makes me like it, but it also sounds really flat and boring. This could have been great but instead it's just blah.

Video premieres August 30th (Monday) on VEVO. Jazmine Sullivan goes back in time in the video for “Holding You Down (Goin’ in Circles),” the first single off her sophomore album Love Me Back. Directed by Marcus Raboy, the clip shows the Philly native on the block, standing in front of a stoop and rocking glittery pants, a beige jacket over a white shirt, and heels. But she later takes it back to the ’90s by throwing a house party, where she’s joined by Doug E. Fresh, Pepa from Salt-N-Pepa, Pete Rock, Kwame, and Missy Elliott, who produced the track.
