Not surprisingly, this is the Battle Studies album track that has garnered the most download action since release and ANOTHER song that would have made a better leadoff than damn "Who Says." Taylor's presence is actually quite minimal, but I suppose her attachment ensures that this will become a single at some point. That should work out fine, since the song is perfectly radio-friendly. Of course, given Sony's proclivity for completely botching John's single choices, my assumption could easily be mistaken.
In case you're wondering how the collaboration came about, John says he's very selective in teaming up with other artists, but he was seeking a female to build a Stevie Nicks vibe on this record. He thinks very highly of Taylor and sees her as a long-term star, and felt she fit the bill perfectly.

This is his new single.
It's pleasant but kind of boring. It's probably a grower.

It's okay, but way to cash in on Swift's popularity. I didn't have a problem with this as an album track, but sending it to radio kind of feels like he's selling out a bit.

This is a grower. I like it much more now.

#56 on iTunes
I can see this becoming a creep early Autumn Pop hit.

This looks done at Pop radio now at #22. Too bad it missed the Top 20. I think it's a majorly accessible song.

That's what happens when a large plurality of the CHR panel stops caring about HAC material entirely. You're right, this should have been a Top 10 hit, and it's Pop radio's fault for missing the boat.
