Sex in the air, I don't care, I love the smell of it?

"Sticks and stones may break my bones but chains and whips excite me."
This I have to hear.

Sounds like it's going to be awful.

She already has a video for this.

If they were going to go with a dance first single, it should have been this. This sounds way better than "Only Girl (In the World)."

Hot, but I disagree that this should have been chosen as the leadoff over "Only Girl." These lyrics are a bit too racy for radio, and frankly, it's hard to argue with a single choice that's going to #1.

I actually thought the lyrics would be more racy than they are.

I don't know how I feel about this. I feel like it's lacking that extra "oomph".

She is going to let the fans (or I guess radio) decide between "S&M" and "Cheers" as the next single from Loud
The techno pop jam “S&M” was rumored as the third single off Rihanna’s new album LOUD in stores now, but stated in a recent interview that it’s now a toss up between “S&M” and “Cheers (Drink to that).”
“The fans are gonna determine that one,” she told Elvis Duran when asked what Loud’s next single would be, “because we’re toying between a couple. Maybe “S&M”, maybe “Cheers”. Those are the ones that seem to be requested the most.”

Good choice, but maybe not as a good of choice as "Cheers." We'll see.

It's a good choice, but I do think "Cheers" would have been perfect for New Years. I don't even really like the song and even I can recognize that.
This will probably be a Top 5 hit.

I actually prefer this song to "Cheers" and feel that it should be a single, but "Cheers" should have come first. It is perfect for this time of year and a much bigger hit.

I actually prefer this song to "Cheers" and feel that it should be a single, but "Cheers" should have come first. It is perfect for this time of year and a much bigger hit. That added with the fact that "Who's That Chick" is already getting some action. I'd like to think a "Don't Lie"/"My Humps" thing will happen with all of these releases. Releasing "S&M", "Who's That Chick" and "Raining Men" all while "What's My Name" and "Only Girl" are still charting is an odd strategy.

This is good. I wanted either this or "Cheers" next so I'm happy.
They might as well release the singles as quickly as possible because this album is not going to have any longevity. lol

Goes for adds January 25. And if anyone's interested, here's Ester Dean's demo. It's TERRIBLE.
I really like Rihanna's approach to this song vocally though.
