Really hot. This would make a great single over "Firework" or "Peacock".

This needs to be a single. It's right up there with CG and TD (maybe even better) in terms of quality.

Apparently this is the next single according to Ryan (pitchfork media). Katy told him in an interview. Hooray

I don't think this will do that well.

It'll do okay based solely on her name, but there are better songs left on the record that could be bigger.

I think "Peacock" would be a huge smash, but "Last Friday Night" or "Hummingbird Heartbeat" have the right sound to be big too.

"Hummingbird Heartbeat" I think would have done the best, especially considering it will likely peak around spring. "E.T." is too bizarre, "Peacock" is kind of already an unofficial single, and "Last Friday Night" is a bit too generic.

I don't really mind this as a single.
"Last Friday Night" probably would've been the easiest hit but it would be completely forgotten about six months after its peak (much like "Waking Up In Vegas").

"The One That Got Away" was really solid, would've been my choice for fourth single.
This should do fine as well. Top 5.

Katy Perry Unveils Artwork For New Single, 'E.T.' 'Stay tuned for a new music video,' Teenage Dream singer teases.
By Jocelyn Vena (@jocelyn1212)
As expected, Katy Perry is set to release the track "E.T." as her next Teenage Dream single. It follows in the footsteps of smashes like "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream" and "Firework."
Perry made the announcement on her Facebook page, releasing artwork for the single. In the black-and-white photograph, Perry sports blunt bangs, a heavy cat eye and a top that appears to be made of pleather and fish-scale sequins.
"Here's a sneak peek of the artwork for 'E.T.,' the next single off 'Teenage Dream'!" the message says. "Stay tuned for a new music video and remixes coming soon."
While little else is known about the video, Perry has made it her mission to keep releasing memorable clips. "I'm looking forward to making music videos on this new album," she said late last year about Teenage Dream. "There's a story to the songs. ... I'm really excited about ... making those music videos that are going to be larger than life."
Perry has been playing "E.T." live recently. Last month at Z-100's Jingle Ball, the spirited singer joked about the spacey dance track, telling the crowd, "This next song is about falling in love with a foreigner, like far away ... not even in England."
In addition to prepping her next single, Perry has been busy tweeting up a storm about her Grammy performance and California Dreams Tour, which kicks off next month. "Cotton Candy angel is working up a treat you'll NEVER forget for GRAMMY'S & TOUR!" she wrote earlier this week.

Ugh. This isn't going to do well. "Hummingbird Heartbeat" was perfect for the Spring. She needs a Pop-Rock to differentiate herself from Britney and Gaga.

I think this is HOT! Sounds like a hit to me. A lot more like a hit on first listen than "Firework" did.
It really does sound like "All the Things She Said" though. Almost exact.

Kanye West is getting an out-of-this-world encounter on his latest collaboration. The rapper has teamed up with Katy Perry to add his touch to her latest single “E.T.” The superstars have already shot a video for the cut from Perry’s Teenage Dream album with director Floria Sigismondi (David Bowie, Marilyn Manson). The pop diva appears as an alien creature alongside Kanye in the first photo from the intergalactic set. The single will be released to radio this week.
