What in the hell is this?! I miss the rocker chick. She's pulling a Nelly Furtado, except Timbaland was at his creative peak, whereas Dr. Luke is far from it. Even though Cali Girls rips off a bunch of songs, at least it is "effervescent" and "fun," as USA Today said. This just sounds like an attempt at recreating awful Lady Gaga goth/pop (which was just a dark, theatrical take on Ace of Base): Snippet: www.zshare.net/audio/75789371c3f6918f/

WTF...this sounds like it's ripping from Madonna or Justin Timberlake (and not exactly my favourite tracks from them either). Not at all what I want to hear from Katy.

This is so good. How the fudge did Katy Perry's record become my most anticipated of the summer?

This seems kind of empty to me. I definitely hear the Ace of Base influence she was talking about, but the song itself is just kind of there...it's definitely no California Gurls.

I liked the clip, but the full thing is rather boring.

This needs to be her third single although I'm sure they're going with "Peacock." Smash.

Man, this sounds so much better auto-tuned and mastered...maybe even single-worthy.

I haven't heard this... all the YouTube links took the audio down.

Thanks Darrion.
Damn- this really does sound like t.a.t.u.
Not sure how I feel about it. It's not bad though, just not my thing.

I love this. It joins Hot N Cold and Teenage Dream as my top three favorite Katy songs
