Possible contender for second single. This seems like the safe/unexciting choice.

I do like it. I think it could be a hit, but WTH is definitely the most palatable one.

This sounds like Disney crap. It won't fly at radio.

This doesn't do much for me. It's not offensive but there isn't anything catchy about it. Sounds like a B-side from her first album.

If "What the Hell" isn't turning into a big hit, then nothing on this album will come half as close so sadly it doesn't matter what her second single is.
But there are better choices.

She is shooting the video for this. It's cute. I can see it going top 20.

Shane Drake ("Misery Business," "In the Ayer," "The Way I Are," Your Guardian Angel") is doing the video.

Goes for adds May 17th. This sounds so 2003.
It's a grower. Miles better than "What The Hell".

Video made me like the song infinitely more. It's a definite grower, and I could see this being a bit hit.

Video is really good!
I don't think this will be a hit though, but I would like it if this was. Would offer some great balance at radio.

This is actually really good and exactly what radio needs right now. Juvenile lyrics, but that hook is so damn good. Never thought I'd be pulling for Avril, but I hope it's a slow burner.

Never thought I'd be pulling for Avril, but I hope it's a slow burner. Same! I always seem to prefer her "underdog" songs though. I loved "Nobody's Home" and "Fall To Pieces" and now this! And her only hit I ever loved is "I'm With You."

Yeah, the lyrics are juvinile, but it's Avril Lavigne. Apart from the verses I LOVE every aspect of this song. The opening guitar riff is catchy as hell, the pre-chrous builds up really well and the chorus itself sounds like it's straight out of a classic pop song. Even the storyline in the video is cute, despite the studio scenes having the typical I'M PUNK RAWK LOL GREEN AND PINK SPRAYPAINT LOL Avril look. Probably my favourite single from her since "I'm With You".

Surprised there is so much love for this. I think "What the Hell" is miles better. "What the Hell" is catchier on first listen but it's easy to get tired of. This song is the opposite. It's composed really well and has a subtle but strong chorus that holds up over time.

Hmmmm. i think they're both instantly catchy, but "What the Hell" has better staying power. To each his own. The verses is "Smile" are horrendous..

This is a really cute song, definitely deserves success. I think "WTH" is better though.
