rihanna Rihanna No teasin' U waited long enough... 18 Sep LOL @ the notion that she's kept ANYONE waiting when her fifth single off an album that dropped less than a year ago is just entering the Top 10. For real.

lol the 'no teasin'' line is a lyric from her song "Skin"

This single being released now is ridiculous. "Cheers" is barely a hit. She should wait until spring.

Of course she's going to go for what's safe and release a surefire No. 1 dance song. After the failure of "Russian Roulette" I can't see her taking another risk anytime soon.

I wonder what Calvin Harris song this will sound the most like. I hope it doesn't sound like "Bounce" with Kelis. I wouldn't mind it sounding like "Flashback."

^ As long as it isn't "I'm Not Alone." I loved that song, but enough people have already borrowed the riff from it.

Actually, I'm not so sure it will be a full on dance song. Some "sources" have described it as "left of center." I guess we'll see tomorrow.

Left of center whatever. It's a Rihanna song. We're not talking about some Matt & Kim stuff here. It's just her stans trying to make her sound revolutionary but I'm sure it's going to be something genuine music fans of heard a million times before.

His style has changed a bit since then though. Those are very house.... his new stuff is, I'm bad with dance terms but less like that. lol

Lyrics:
Yellow diamonds in the light And we're standing side by side As your shadow crosses mine What it takes to come alive
It's the way I'm feeling I just can't deny But I've gotta let it go
We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place
Shine a light through an open door Love and life I will divide Turn away cause I need you more Feel the heartbeat in my mind
It's the way I'm feeling I just can't deny But I've gotta let it go
We found love in a hopeless place

Cover art: Awful, but at least Calvin is getting credit.

I just realized "Fly" is Nicki Minaj's new single. They should really hold off.

The production on this is fire. I just wish that lyrically the chorus was a tad more impressive.
I'd be surprised if this wasn't a #1.

This will obviously be a hit all over the world, but I'm completely burned out on this sound, no matter who it's by or who produced it. And it's definitely not something she needed to rush out there.

I really like this! I hope this paves the way for singles by lesser known artists with this sound to breakthrough.

In terms of production, this reminds me of a cross between Afrojack's "Take Over Control" and Cavin Harris' "Feel So Close."

I love this on first listen. Lyrically, the chorus is lacking, but I can't stop singing it anyway.
And dammit at there being no bridge, repeating the first verse does not count.
