I don't think many people will deny that. She only cares about touring, the music and videos are now more of a "side project." Agreed.

To be honest, if I were Madonna I would be focusing on tours (her tours ARE amazing) because she's a smart businesswoman, however, as a stan I wish she would focus more on her artistic integrity. Where's the woman who gave us "Like a Prayer"? "Frozen"? etc.

Where's the woman who gave us "Like a Prayer"? "Frozen"? etc. I just think when you're so successful for so long and then the times change, you're left behind in a creative rut. She's still there, but it brought us songs like "Nothing Fails" which now flop at radio. So she says screw that to get attention with this flash in the pan sounds and artists, but at the expensive of not making something that will outlast the test of time. It happens all the time to veteran artists.

Madonna looks so awkward in her portrayal of a high school cheerleader in this video.

RUDE. I don't care if she was 70, she looks f**king smoking in the video.

RUDE. I don't care if she was 70, she looks f**king smoking in the video. She does look great, but when you try to play a character who's meant to be 17 when you're 53 you're begging for age comments. She could be 23 and it would still look inappropriate.

She's not playing a cheerleader at all in the video though.

This is really bad, and her vocals are borderline atrocious.

I'd love to see more veteran artists remain staples on Pop radio.... if their music is still good. She may not be dressed as a cheerleader, but the theme and setting of the video makes it obvious that that's the vibe she's going for anyway. I don't think it works.

The video reminds of the typical crap that airs on "glee"... Another bad video from her. The song SUCKS it is very boring and she sounds bored as well. Nicki's part is too short, MIA is a sell-out whose part is very bad. This will be a huge seller though.

I totally get why people hate this, lol. But I love it. It's fluffy and a breath of fresh air compared to what's currently on radio. And it's ridiculously catchy, the chorus and the chants have been stuck in my head since I heard the demo.
Love the video too, cute and tongue in cheek. Fits the song perfectly.
I think outside of initial first week/Superbowl hype, this is going to flop down the charts very quickly.

I think outside of initial first week/Superbowl hype, this is going to flop down the charts very quickly. I was thinking the same thing, but then you take a look at the Top 40 and this type of fluffy dance pop is needed at the moment. There's no Gaga, Britney, Katy, or Rihanna climbing the charts right now. Radio may surprise us and latch onto GMAYL.

I don't like this because it sounds like a very dated throwaway from a William Orbit session. Nicki and M.I.A. are just there to me as well.

It reminds me of an Avril Lavigne song ("Girlfriend" meets "What the Hell") mixed with "Beautiful Stranger" but much campier lyrics than any of the songs above. Nicki Minaj sounds out of place and copied and pasted- she probably hates the song too but dropped a few bars for the money lol.
This is "Girlfriend" featuring Lil' Mama.

Also I'm guessing this is getting negative feedback. Considering how much exposure she's getting on the radio PLUS the fact that she has sh*tloads of core fans and this STILL couldn't crack the Top 10 at iTunes in its first day. Usually lead event singles are #1 by noon on the day of their release...
