Lead single from her sophomore album, Curiosity.
I love the hook on this song - it's so bloody catchy.

I don't see how this is catchy.
Although, you could tell the dude from Mariana's Trench produced it. Sounds like a lighter version of their songs.

You really don't think it's catchy? Every time I hear the song, it gets stuck in my head for hours.

I feel like it has the potential, but something's just missing.

This is huge in Canada and topped the Canadian Hot 100 for multiple weeks. (One of the few non-US hits I can remember topping it for that matter). Looks like that's about to change anyway. This is #30 on US iTunes already.
This is kind of blah to me.

This is sooo catchy. It's total formula bubblegum but somehow it works. It's just so poppy and sing-songy, you can't help but sing along, and it puts you in a good mood.
It's great for the winter blues and I think that's what made people latch on to it so much. Also, Spring is around the corner and it's perfect for it.

This sounds like it should have come out 10 years ago.

This is starting to blow up in the US. #31 on the Hot 100, Top 10 on iTunes.
Really happy for her - she's come a long way since Canadian Idol.

Crap. It's becoming catchier.
But I still can't get over the fact she's 26 and singing a song meant for a 12 year old.

Everything about this song and this girl, mostly her name, reminds me of the third-rate Britney knockoffs labels were pushing around 2001 (Lindsay Pagano, Ashley Ballard, Brooke Allison, etc.)
This song is seriously annoying and childish but also undeniably catchy. All of the college girls around here are singing it, so it's clearly connected with the target audience.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to state that while I've openly pleaded with Top 40 to move on from the turbo dance-pop craze, I wasn't remotely hoping that they'd pick bubblegum teen pop as the replacement. Sadly, that seems to be where we're heading...

#10 on the Hot 100.
Never expected to see a Canadian Idol that wasn't Hedley get anywhere close to there.

#10 on the Hot 100. Never expected to see a Canadian Idol that wasn't Hedley get anywhere close to there. Yeah, and Hedley never even charted on the Hot 100, right? If they did it sure as hell wasn't near the Top 10! So I think Canada and the UK remain the only countries with significant 'Idol' hits in the US. I know some members of that group Carolina Liar were on Swedish Idol but I think their biggest Hot 100 hit peaked in the 40's.

The only other foreign Idol I can think of as having success in the US is Agnes, who had a dance smash a couple of years ago with "Release Me;" she won Swedish Idol. I'm pretty there's a couple others who weren't winners on their shows who've had some minor success in the States as well.
Interestingly, although quite a few UK reality acts have crossed over to the US (Leona Lewis, Susan Boyle), none of them were on the actual UK Idol show. They all come from the various knockoffs (X Factor, Britain's Got Talent).

#2 on the Hot 100. I find this song to be mediocre at best, but this song deserves to hit #1. It's enormous.
