Tim's cover of "When The Stars Go Blue" will be the lead single from his second greatest hits compilation.

The debut week for his greatest hits is really bad for him. He seems to be experiencing a slump lately.

Who was the original artist? For some reason, I think I vaguely remember a song by the Corrs with this title?

Ryan Adams did the original. Then Bono & The Corrs did it in concert or something. Then Tyler Hilton recorded it with Bethany Joy Lenz for the first One Tree Hill sountrack. Then Venke Knutson and Kurt Nilsen (both of Norway) recorded it. Now it's Tim's turn.
I absolutely love the song, but I think it's safe to say this is my least favourite version.

I'm kind of surprised this didn't do better in downloads this week. I expected that maybe a lot of people would just download the song instead of buying his greatest hits. It looks like most of his usual fans did neither. This is #14 with a really healthy bullet. Tim McGraw's bar is set pretty high though so it still has a ways to go before he can be considered to be completely back on track.

This may not make it to #1 like "Live Like You Were Dying" or "Back When," but it looks like it will outpeak the other few singles from his last album.
