This is such a beautifully written song, but this video is pure cheese.
I just saw the video on the CMT Top 20 Countdown.

The video was a late release, partly because Skin was the fastest rising single of their career thus far.
I think the video was beautifully shot.

Mind if I share a little story? I saw the guys twice this past weekend, once in Greensboro NC and once in Greenville SC. In Greenville, the guys had gone over to a 2nd stage at the back of the floor to perform a few songs for the people in the back. Right as they started "Skin" Gary spotted a women near the stage w/ a turban on her head and saw that she and her husband were crying and hugging. Gary went down the steps and brought her on stage. He put his arm around her and swayed with her until the part about "... a girl with no hair to the prom..." line, during which the woman slowly removed her turban to reveal a completely bald head. She then, after checking to see if it was ok w/ Gary first, motioned for her husband to join her. Everyone in the audience gasped and cheered when we saw that he also had no hair! Gary, Jay, and Joe Don moved to the far side of the stage and let the woman and her husband dance together in the spotlight. The three of them were just as moved as the rest of us, and you could hear Gary struggling to finish the song b/c he and the other guys were all crying. At the very end, the woman raised her arm triumphantly when Gary sang "... for a moment she isn't scared..."
It was such an amazing moment! I have a few pictures from it that I'm uploading right now.
BTW, in case you're wondering, this was not at all planned! We thought it was prearranged b/c it was so unreal for it not to be. But the woman and her husband joined the fan club the next day and told us all the story of how it all happened. I still get chills just thinking about it.

Wow, thanks for sharing that story. It's so bittersweet- sad and uplifting at the same time.
