It's tracklistings like that, that makes me wish CD singles were still popular in the US!! you are so right... usually, US CD maxis gave you the most bang for your buck. (UK releases tend to be so sparse... ridiculously spanning 2 discs when it could all fit into one.) surprisingly, i'm liking the non-eddie mixes here as well. oh... and congratulation on your moderatorship disco dude.

Does anyone know it any of these mixes will be released on a commercial cd, either import or domestic? I know they will not be on the Australian single and I havn't seen the UK listing yet.

I've only heard the Eddie Baez edit, and it's surprisingly good for this. Although the original is incredibly catchy for an Ashlee song. I'd like to hear the others.
It has something to do with there being a time limit on each CD for it to count for the single and not album charts. It used to be like 20 minutes for each side, which is dumb, I agree. I think it's even worse now possibly, because now CD1 has to have only 2 tracks (and under 10 minutes long), and I believe CD2 has to have 3 tracks and under a 20 minute time limit, although I think that might be extended if it's all versions of the same song. In the US (when singles are still released), nobody cares. Maxis can go up to how ever many minutes they can fit on a CD (either 74 or 80, depending on the quality of the discs they got). Nowadays they sometimes put exclusive remixes up for downloads now that those are included in the UK.

Wow yeah that is really dumb splitchick!! I have two US maxi-singles that each had 12 tracks and were almost 80 minutes long!! They are the maxi's for Brandy's "Full Moon" and M2M's "Everything You Do" (which included mixes for the title track along with mixes for "Don't Say You Love Me" and "Mirror, Mirror"). I wish CD singles were popular...there was nothing like going to FYE in my local mall to buy the newest batch of mixes of my favorite singers!!!

LOL. as a rule... i always considered japanese and US cd-maxis to be my purchasing preference (with an occasional aussie one mixed in.) but then... with all the specialty CD shops in my area now closed and hardly a CD single in sight ... i can't afford to be picky anymore. anyway... back to ashlee's boyfriend ... LOL. ;D
