This song has seemed like it was going to be a smash and a flop so many times. It's been going back and forth as the bullet explodes and disappears over and over again. Now it's at #5 with a pretty decent bullet. I think this has #1 potential come Christmas.

This is another example of radio waiting for the new year to drop the old and then really latch on to the new. Come 2006, this will be one of the new token power rotation songs at the format.

This song is really hit of miss with me depending on my mood. One of their weaker singles, IMO.

Yeah... I just don't feel this at all. It feels like it's been done before, aka. "Black Balloon" but not nearly as good.

I'm getting tired of the goo goo dolls, too. As far as this song bopping up and down the charts, isn't Triple-A still pretty much a loose compllation of playlists from widely disparate radio stations? This has happened before quite a few times, and I can still remember some comments about it from the old R&R moderator for AAA (John Schoenberger or something like that). He said that often a song will be a hit first in the East, then the West, then in between, and that the time difference between chart peaks for a song in different areas of the country can be a month or more. There are so few AAA stations in the survey that trends like this have a profound impact on the chart.
That's also a reason that some songs tend to hang on this chart for a long, long time.

I love this song, and I can't believe someone is tired of the Goo Goo Dolls considering their inability to hit lately. This song hopefully will complete the crossover hit status that Give a Little Bit failed to do.

This IS my favorite Goo Goo Dolls song. I never thought they'd sing a song better than "Iris" but I guess I was wrong.

According to FMQB, "Better Days" actually was originally intended as a holiday-only single! When CNN asked to use the clip for Katrina coverage, that's when the band decided to release the single when they did according to Johnny Rzeznik. Uh... only problem with that is, didn't this have a HAC adds before Katrina even happened?

I'm glad this is doing so well especially at Hot AC.

LOL. They're really trying to play up on the Christmas thing with this song. They just performed it on the Christmas At Rockefellar Center special.

I really do like this song. It reminds me of "Iris" a little bit.

This is a vintage Goo Goo Dolls song. It's got that epic feel to it that "Iris" and "Black Balloon" had and I think it's just as good as the latter. I'm pleased to see this doing well on Hot AC and hopefully pop will eventually embrace this with open arms come 2006.

Starting to be one of my favorites on the radio.
I don't like or get the video, though.
