Ya'll knew this was coming! lol This week James moves up to #16 HAC, up to #12 AAA, and holds at #16 AC. It's really exciting to watch an international hit I like actually become a hit little by little here in the US. For a debut single by any HAC artist, let alone a foreign one, he's really off to a great start on the Hot 100. It's rare seeing HAC songs that haven't even gone Top 15 there yet climb the chart 15 places in one week on the strength of downloads. Way to go James! mms://66.186.0.101/allaccess/jameyour.wma

I love this song. I also love HIGH didn't like wisemen I haven't heard the album in its entirety, but the critics LOVE it.
I heard there is an explicit version of this - can anyone confirm?

The album version has it with the F-word. Not sure if they have an edited album version though. I think it's the only curse on the album.

I've actually really grown into this song. I'm not too sure about his voice, but that should be the least of the problems.

Third greatest gainer at HAC, and it moved up to #13 in the last update. This will likely finish the week at #9, but there's a small chance it COULD end the week as high as #6!
SMASH!

Just picked this CD up at a resale shop for $4.98. Yay! But, the cover is all gray and white. No color at all. Anyone know why that is?? Haven't listened to it yet, but love "You're Beautiful" and he seems like a great guy.

I bet bellboys, who posts in the discussion in News, knows though. Anyway, be sure to let me know what your favorite songs on this album are! Really happy you got it. ;D

Hi, NORTHCOAST! The grey (that is the UK spelling!) cover was the original release in the UK, but it was changed to the blue cover around the time of the re-release in Spring 2005 as the record company thought it was more 'summery'. Seemed to have worked, judging by the massive increase in sales since then (although I think releasing You're Beautiful had more to do with that. LOL!). I'm suspecting what you have could be an import? No matter what the colour of the cover, rest assured what is inside is one of the best debut albums for years IMO. Get it in that CD player now. LOL!

The bright blue cover is definitely an attention grabber on the stores though! It really stands out amongst all the typical gray and dark blue covers.

Elton John mentioned "You're Beautiful" is the "Your Song" of the new generation. Quite a compliment.

Just listened to the CD for the first time. I really like it on first listen. He's kind of a cross between a Gibb brother and David Gray, IMO. Love "You're Beautiful" and I recognized the other song (can't remember the name) from Saturday Night Live. But the "f**king high" in "You're Beautiful" on the CD instead of "flying high" really startled me on first listen. I was like ! I like "flying" better. It just seems to flow better.

I guess it depends on which version you're familiar with first because every time I hear the radio edit, the "flying high" part bothers me.

As has been mentioned, it really does depend on the version you have been used to listening to. I've always had the f**king high version and, if JB tried to sing flying high at any of his UK gigs there would be a riot!! He tends to let the crowd sing the f**king high bit at his shows now, you should hear the decibel level, it almost blows the roof off!! LOL!

Congratulations to James on his first HAC Top 10 hit! This week, "You're Beautiful" jumps 9 places from #16 all the way to #7. It's the greatest gainer at the format with a +208 bullet! I'm enjoying this chart success, seeing a jump THAT big is verrrrry rare for this chart.
