This is my favorite song on Wildflower, and Sheryl is performing it on Christmas From Rockefellar Center right now. Could this be the second single? Oh shucks! I read this now... and she's probably finished performing it... Agreed, its my favoritest song on the album, especially the acoustic performance on the DVD... hopefully it'll be a single with an AC remix to go along with it... ... ya know, so Delilah will at least play it! hehe

Sheryl performed this again on NBC's Home For The Holiday's special tonight. It's looking almost definite that this is single #2.

I think this is going to totally bomb. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't even go Top 15 at Hot AC. It's incredibly boring for radio. She's really getting up there in age too. I hope this isn't the end for her.

I think this is going to totally bomb. I think it's a great choice. Regardless of what Sheryl releases, she's not going to have a hit. So, she might as well release the best song on the album instead of one that's not as good but more poppy. Who knows? This is such a nice and subtle song that I could see HAC playing it for a very long time, even if it never goes Top 10. It's also perfect for AC if her label bothers to send it for adds there.

I agree WHATLG does have to be a single. I'm still shocked that Good is Good underperformed. It was way catchier than First Cut, and even that went like top 10 on pop, or close to it. I blame it on her lack of promotion. I also hate her new way of singing...she sounded so much better when she'd just sing in her comfortable, lower register.

This is great, but I don't want this to be the second (and maybe final) single. Now I think that "Live It Up" would have made a better first single, thinking in its pop potential, but seriously I have no idea what went wrong with this album!

Not single material, they should go with "I Know Why" next IMO. That said, I like the song well enough.

She remixed it with Sting. He doesn't do much for me on this. It's still one of my least favorites from the album. I don't know why she's using Sting to give this more success at Hot AC. His last album didn't do much for him there. mms://66.186.0.101/allaccess/sheralwa.wma

YES! I'm so happy about this. For starters, I thought she wasn't going to get another single... so the fact that she has one at all is great news. As for the song, I love it. I like Sting's addition too. The only problem is his vocals sound louder than hers. It's a really beautiful song and honestly one of my favorites from her. I don't expect it to be a big hit (although #1 AAA wouldn't surprise me), but it's one of my favorite Sheryl singles anyway.
Also, I don't think they view Sting's appearance as giving it a competitive edge or hype or anything. I just think they wanted vocal harmony for the chorus, so they decided to go with someone critically respected.

The song is fine without Sting in it so I don't see why he's needed here. It's great to know that there's going to be a second single to begin with but there are better songs on the album she could have chosen. Anyway, I don't see this doing much but I hope I'm wrong.

This song is definately not my first choice for a single, and I like the Sting-less version better, but I think it will do well. It has a great melody, and Sheryl and Sting together will create some nice hype at Hot AC.

I think this is a beautiful song that's perfect for this time of year. it's one of those songs like "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac or "Now & Forever" by Carol King to me, where it comes on and you can feel her emotions through the song. With or Without Sting it's good. I think duets make things EVENTS, like when 2 superstars come together like Steve Tyler/Santana. I can see this going Top 10 at AC and Hot AC, but even with bad promotion, I'm sure Top 15 at Hot AC isn't out of the question, but I feel this will outpeak "Light IN your Eyes" IMO

I like this, but I think that maybe the label knows that this will "flop", but at least they want to keep the fans happy releasing this, even if Sting is in the new version.

There are more lively and "hooky" songs on the album though, so they don't have to release something knowing it's going to flop.

All of Sheryl's fan forums overwhelmingly wanted this to be the single. So, if nothing else she's keeping her fans happy. That aside, I think this is one of the most melodic songs Sheryl's ever done and the lyrics can really resonate with a broad audience. I'm not saying this is a safe bet, but I don't think her chances are any worse with this than any other song on the album.

Top 10 smash isn't out of question.... I do think "Live It Up" should be the 3rd single for late spring/summer!!!
