wm.allaccess.com/allaccess/livemyst.wmaGoes for adds on May 30. It will probably flop just like "The River". Their singles haven't been nearly as consistent as they were in the 90's, but they're not really bad. They should atleast be scraping the Top 20 at Hot AC. It sucks for them that they struggle to make the Top 30 now.

I was going to post this last week but forgot. I think this is actually catchier than "The River," but it probably still won't take off If you can find a live version of this, it's much better. The studio version is still a good song though. I'm still surprised at "The River" flopping the way it did.

They're performing this on American Idol right now!

Well, less likely to flop now.

They're performing this on American Idol right now! What is up with all these random performers on AI this season?!

Ed K. (don't know how to spell his last name) and Chris Daughtry almost look like twins.
This song was pretty good. Is the single on iTunes? Because if the album doesn't drop until next month I don't think it'll have much effect.

The album isn't released on CD format until next month, but it's available on iTunes already.

I don't watch AI, but if I had known they were going to be on, I would have watched it, being the big Live fan that I am.
How was the performance? Did they go overboard on the strings like they did on the studio version?

The album isn't released on CD format until next month, but it's available on iTunes already. Uh...dare I ask why? This is going to tank. Even with the American Idol performance and promotion under its belt, no one is going to care. I think Live is a fantastic band, their "Throwing Copper" material especially is a favorite of mine, but as great a track as this is, HAC PDs will overlook it, just like "The River".

The album release (at least for the US) was delayed multiple times. I don't think anyone really knows why Sony did that. I'm just glad it was only delayed 3 months as opposed to the 2 years Fiona Apple fans had to wait for Sony to release her album.

Studio version ft. Chris Daughtry. Are they going to send this to radio to bounce off American Idol hype? If so, I don't think it'll work...most radio formats don't seem to give a sh*t enough to play something more just b/c someone from AI is on it...often, it's an excuse to not play it at all. eta: new link

Are you saying there is one? Because the All Access link doesn't have Chris. It would definitely help with downloads. They could probably get a Hot 100 hit if they put a version with Chris on iTunes.

Oh. My. God. They actually recorded with an American Idol contestant? I guess we now know that this band only cares about commercial success and not their musical integrity. being washed up makes you do desperate things, but I have more respect for the bands that accept their fate than doing something totally desperate to try to get an extra 5 minutes of attention.
