mms://66.186.0.101/allaccess/athlhalf.wmaThis goes for adds on January 9. "Half Light" is an awesome song that I first discovered while on vacation in Italy back in May. Athlete is a major 2005 success story over in the UK, and this song is awesome. I don't know how well it will do in the US... I think that depends on how much of a push it has from the label... but everyone should check this song out. It's GREAT. Check it out here: www.athlete.mu/

Those of you who like this song should also check out: "Wires" (their biggest hit in the UK), "Tourist" (featured on The OC and very Chili Peppers-esque), and "Twenty Four Hours" (their Britpop power ballad).

I just realized this failed to make Top 5 Most Added last week (its impact week). That means it got 7 or less adds. American radio is seriously tone deaf.

I'm becoming really frustrated with Alternative radio. There's so much good music out there, that it should be easy to program their station but they f**k it up anyway. And the charts seem to move so much slower than they should.... Anyways this is a really good song

And the charts seem to move so much slower than they should.... Yeah, it's very frustrating. The problem is PD's view the charts to decide what songs to add, and the music taste when it comes to Rock is so different in the North and South that it seems silly for a station up here to add, I don't know let's say Shinedown, just because the South carried it so high up the chart. All the songs I hear often on G-Rock or Sirius Alt Nation are struggling to make Top 50, it's ridiculous.

Fortunately for them, this is showing multiple new adds on Taking Off. It's not like it totally bombed with 0 interest. It could be a slow grower.

This does seem like the kind of song to catch on slowly. I mean, it is a new artist and its a semi-ballad. I'm glad G-Rock is one of the stations that added it!
