mms://66.186.0.101/allaccess/strohear.wmaI have no idea why they are releasing this as a second single. It's going to flop big time...On The Other Side and You Only Live Once are so radio friendly, I was figuring one of them would be released since Juice Box was so different for them.

I heard Hawaii was going to be released second, which sounds like a dream for CHR\Pop PD's for the coming Spring.

There are so many better songs than Juicebox on the album. And Julian is the one who confirmed the single in a chat, so I'm pretty sure it's official. Juicebox Hero...Hawaii didn't make the final cut...it was a B-side to Juicebox, so there's no one it could even be a single.

Yeah just got the album, really disappointed that Hawaii didn't make the cut, but the album is great. Definitely agree the first cut off of the album, wow I forget it's name, it's early, should be released next though. I mean it's the Strokes, they'll pretty much do whatever they feel like regardless of how well the song charts. Can't wait to see their tour schedule.

I like this a lot more than "Juicebox," but there's nothing really catchy about it- unlike so many of their previous singles.

The verses have been stuck in my head all day. I could see this becoming my favorite Strokes single. The part where he goes "all our friends... they're laughing at us." That's classic Radiohead right there!!!

Ok, so after listening to this 4 times now, I still don't know what to think of it. I can't even remember how the hook goes.

This is stuck at #28 on the Alt chart and down to a +50-something bullet. I hate to see this stalling, but I guess it was to be expected.

I haven't heard "You Only Live Once", but I fail to see why people think this is such a bad single choice. This sounds like a bona fide smash to me.

It doesn't sound like a smash to me at all. There's nothing catchy about it.

This is a GREAT song. It's probably one my favourite Strokes singles. Their singles seem to get progressively better.

It doesn't sound like a smash to me at all. There's nothing catchy about it. See, and I think song is irresistably catchy - more so than any of the singles from the first two albums except "Last Nite". Which is not to say that the other singles weren't good - they just weren't particularly catchy IMHO. This song hit me on the first listen and has only gotten better for me since then. I don't know why it's stalling - probably because a bunch of stations started playing the heck out of it immediately, while others have yet to add it. I suppose they jumped the gun on sending it for adds so quickly - maybe it should go for adds again. Or maybe it just needs an iPod commercial.

I find this insanely catchy now. Especially the guitar licks. I've actually been hearing it on the radio a lot. I attribute its poor performance at least in part to too many Active rock stations on the wrong panel.
Is there a video?

Eh... found the video. It reminds me of all those black and white photo's of immigrants building New York City in the early 1900's. Watch the video

It's going to flop big time...On The Other Side and You Only Live Once are so radio friendly... I didn't even notice your initial post, and I totally agree. On first listen of the album, I thought those should be single #2 and #3. Both immediately likable.
