Currently +146 and only about 200 spins away from the #10 song.

This is trapped in a very competitive part of the chart now, but it's still got a triple digit bullet and Top 10 is definitely within reach.

I saw the video on MTV for the first time this morning. It's the same video as the UK release!

I saw the video on MTV for the first time this morning. It's the same video as the UK release! Yeah I saw it on the ADD videos thing. My dad got me the CD from Ireland, but I haven't really listened to it. I like this song, but I can't get past his accent!

The video is HORRENDOUS. It has to be the worst video i've ever seen. The video looks about 2 bucks. And the video has nothing to it. The band memebers are like frozen in one spot playing. They look like amateurs. Seriously, i used to like this song. I don't anymore.

I think this demonstrates the problem the Monkeys have in trying to penetrate the US market. I've previously stated I don't think they actually care too much about cracking the US, although I'm beginning to revise my belief on account of just how many tours they seem to be doing here! The problem is that they are VERY British. And I don't just mean the Northern English accent, it's more that many of their references are very British-specific. Take the video to IBYLGOTD. tyler46 seems to hate the video 'because it looks like it cost 2 bucks' The video is actually MADE to look like it cost 2 bucks! It is an attempt to recreate the 'look' of a seminal 70s live music BBC show, The Old Grey Whistle Test. They even used old BBC studio cameras from the 70s to get the exact 'look' (i.e. the antithesis of high definition!). And the video IMO perfectly tells you what the band is about - live performance! How many other videos can anyone recall which features a TOTALLY LIVE performance?
Maybe a better video to watch if you don't want to see the band is the new one to View From The Afternoon. Not a band member in sight in this one. lol

This had a nice turn around at Alternative radio. A week ago, this looked like it was done. Now's it back among the greatest gainers and just outside of the Top 10.
