Yeah, you and me can ride on a star If you stay with me, girl We can rule the world! Yeah, you and me can light up the sky If you stay by me side We can rule the world! So pretty. John Shanks produced this. John Shanks + Take That = MAGIC!

This is getting a single release in the UK, and from the soundtrack to the movie Stardust.
It's cheesy but could be worse. It's your typical overblown movie theme.

See, I actually like "Shine" and "Patience," but this is too much for me.

I absolutely loved "Shine", it was so cheesy and catchy! But I'm not a huge fan of their music overall. This song sounds boring.

"Shine" may just be the blandest overplayedest song of the year. I like this more than any of their last three singles. The lyrics are no less bad than "Shine", either. I quite like this, actually. Out October 22. I uploaded the video to YouTube

ROFL @ the youtube name But why are there SO many porn spam comments on there?! I've never seen that many on one video that isn't one of those viral phenomenons with millions of hits. The video is your typical boring soundtrack crap: the group in the studio and movie clips.

I'm sick of British people trying to rule the world. The Commonwealth stretches across each and every continent as it is. They are never satisified. END IMPERIALISM!

END IMPERIALISM! lol but shouldn't this also apply to America? CHENEY '08 CAMPAIGN THEME SONG! (yeah, i know he's not running, but while we're running with the absurdity of Take That songs as polticial allegories)

The only other songs I've heard of this group, if I remember correctly, were Back For Good and My Love, so imagine my surprise when my friend excitedly played this song for me. For a British man-boyand, I think it's a pretty good.
According to my friend, it's getting Oscar buzz. Seriously? This early? After Eminem won an Oscar for that rubbish in 8 Mile, I shouldn't be surprised anymore I guess.

Oscar buzz? Seriously? Yeah, I really like this now, one of the only about five Take That songs I like.

I think My Love is actually a Westlife song LOL
I'm not sure how this could qualify for the Oscars, because the movie it's from has already been and gone in the US with no sign of Take That on the soundtrack, though I was hearing about this song for awhile.

So this crap is a bigger hit than "Patience" which is actually really good then?

But it didn't get to #1, unlike "Patience"...

But "Patience" was out for nine weeks in 2006, four of which it spent at number one. It's #30 on the year end countdown with about 179,500 sold (it spent one week at #2 in the 2007 chart year).
"Shine", which had all of it's run in 2007, was #18 with 272,745 sold.
