Mel C announced on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show this morning that the new Spice Girls single is called "Headlines".

At least it's not "Headlice", which is what it sounded like she said

It's out on November 19 in the UK. Rumours that it's actually called "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)" which is on so many levels.

It's the Children In Need single and is, in Mel C's words, 'a Spice classic, powerful ballad'.

I'm looking forward to hear it, just because of the nostalgy.

ROFL @ the subtitle.
The Children in Need ballad part makes me scared.

I'm not scared in the slighest bit. This was cowritten with Richard Stanndard. Lets not forget their previous ballads co-written with him - 2 Become 1, Too Much, Viva Forever, and Goodbye. Geri says it's in the same vein as those tracks. It's also not like this is sloppy - both Mel and Geri said the girls have been working on the track since May to make sure it's perfect. The only reason it was just announced is because it wasn't mixed until this week.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't really excited to hear new Spice Girls material.

I'm not too excited about this song, because the only ballada that I love by them is "2 Become 1", the rest are kind of boring. I hope they can give this a modern twist.
