Shy Child is a band from New York City consisting of Pete Cafarella on vocals and keytar and Nate Smith on drums. The duo was formed in New York in the summer of 2000.
In 2006, Shy Child began playing steadily in the UK alongside such bands as Klaxons and Soulwax. [...] A US tour supporting Hot Chip followed in the fall.
In early 2007, Shy Child released the singles "Drop the Phone" and "Noise Won't Stop" in the UK. They supported Klaxons on their tour of England in May, the same month that they released their album 'Noise Won't Stop.' The band has been touring in the UK and Europe since, including playing the XFM stage at the O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, supporting Muse at Wembley Stadium on June 17, 2007, playing the Dance tents at the Reading and Leeds Festivals, and performing at Bestival. The group released their most recent single "Summer" in September 2007, followed by an October headline tour around the UK. "Drop the Phone" is set to be re-released in November.
This is really fun, I like it a lot. It's out tomorrow in the UK.
