Bright Eyes on the ‘Noise Floor’Published: 2006-07-21 Conor Oberst and Co. are getting ready to release a record of rarities before their next new album. In 2005 Bright Eyes released three records, two LP’s and an album of live recordings. In January the band, fronted by Conor Oberst, released two albums simultaneously I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning and Digital Ash In a Digital Urn with two unique styles. At the end of the year the band released Motion Sickness a compilation of live tunes from his past tour. Noise Floor, which is due out October 24, features a mess of rarities and unreleased tracks from 1998-2005. Though the record will be released on CD and vinyl, some tunes will only be available on the vinyl version. Yeah, I really love that song. It's such a departure from his other material, but it's still amazing. I could actually see that being played on AC.

The album is BRILLIANT!!!!! It's already one of my favorite albums from them. I'm loving it too, I don't think it's quite as immediate as his previous two from 2005 but it is really good on initial spins. This was the highest new entry at 13 on the UK albums chart this week, though it was Top 5 in the midweeks.
