Umm, I cannot believe there's not a topic about this band www.myspace.com/thepostalservice It's very Death Cab meets electronica.. I haven't stopped listening to "District Sleeps Alone" tonight.

They're working on their new album. Or have been, for months now. I can't wait.
I listen to at least a few songs from Give In every day. And it's almsot 5 years since I bought it. So scary. But that shows how good it is.
I'm kinda wondering what the next step for them is... like... how they're going to make progress and grow off the sound of their last album without completely dismissing the sound that makes everyone love them. But I'm sure they'll figure something out. I hope they're doing this album via mail again. Because that's probably one of the reasons it came out so well.

I can't believe how long it's been since their first album was released. I have high hopes, but I don't think it will be as good as their first.

If you like The Postal Service, check out British teenage group, I Was A Cub Scout. They are touring the UK at the mo, probably not America as they are too young.
They have released two singles so far:
"We Were Made To Love" "Pink Squares"
and their new single "I Hate Nightclubs" is out on March 12th.

I kind of hate how "Such Great Heights" has become so overused and cliche. Still an amazing song, but it lost some of the mystique.
I also prefer Death Cab but love Postal Service as well.

Sorry! I just thought since The Postal Service aren't doing anything new, people might want to check out a new British band who sound quite like them and are actively releasing singles and touring atm.

Ok they need to stop liscensing "Such Great Heights" for commercial use for real now.
So far it reminds me of Skittles, Grey's Anatomy, and the latest... UPS. Way to go.
