The first time i have heard it i was very disappointing because i thought it was an upbeat a la "Honey" so i didn't really appreciate it.
But it grew on me a lot, it's very light, i love the bass and the harmonies. The video is sexy. Great collaboration too, it was during the times where her collaborations were actually interesting.

Funny. This is by no means one of her most successful songs, but it's definitely an overwhelming favorite of fans.

Breakdown was hot when i first heard the album, i didn't think mariah had it in her to work with BT&H, but the duet between the two turned out to be really good. I like the remix of this song too, it was remixed with new vocals and a alternate ending. Her duets with Brian mcknight and Dru hill on different songs off of "Butterfly" happened to be classics too. This album was absolutely one of her best.

Damn I just love this song..... I was just watching the video, IMO it was average, my favorite part in the video, is when she was in the gold as a showdancer and had to force a smile to perform. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDU4xcok91I

A really good song. The fact that she worked them into the song is what made it work. Too often she just throws a rapper on the track for some street cred, as opposed to doing a true collaboration like this.

OMG! I just watched the video and I have a few things to say..
1. That video is not as good as I remember. lol Very boring. I was one deluded child.
2. I never thought she looked like she had aged, but DAMN! She has definitely aged and not very well!
3. The video cinematography was weird. Didn't it come out around the time when a lot of "hip-hop/r&b" videos were being made like that? with that whole fisheye lens look or whatever. lol I remember Busta & Missy having one like that.

This is one of my favorite Mariah songs EVER. I love the lyrics, the catchy melody, and Bone Thugs-style of singing she does. Go Mariah!
