This is probably her biggest hit from the 80's but it's nowhere near her biggest hit single. This is my favorite song by her because I love the emotion she gives throughout the song. She really expresses her loneliness and the way she truly feels about being alone. Phyllis Hyman has a wonderful voice and she's a versatile singer. It's too bad we had to lose her so tragically. This song charted at #12 R&B during it's release but it has long became one of her most requested songs today. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lypIg2goMxg

It's not even close to my favorite by her, but she had a phenomenal voice that could carry just about anything she sang.

Every now and then an R&B classic slips by me. I really don't think I had heard this until a few months ago. WOW! What a great record.
