The Time has some of the best party tracks. I like this one in particular because I like repeatin the digits for some reason. Its the only song I can think of that uses a phone number for a chorus. They made it work and one of their biggest hits.

I was just going to say that. Oddly enough, as much as I like Prince and many of his protegees, I've never been a huge fan of The Time. I guess my favorite by them is probably "Get It Up". Most of their songs are just too cheesy.

The Oak Tree was from Morris Day's solo album.
As for the Time, they had great singles, but all of their albums were incredibly uneven. This song is probably my third favorite single of theirs behind "Get It Up" and "Jungle Love."

this is the JAM! and the instrumental on this is crazy i love the production on this one, this is probably my favorite song by them
