This is one of my favorite Marvin Gaye tunes and probably my favorite from Let's Get It On. It's such a great, sexy jam that still maintains a classic Motown sound with a sort of swing vibe. Incredible album.

Hot tune. Very underrated, IMO. It was actually kinda dirty by the standards of the day ("I wanna do something freaky to you").
I like this album, but as with What's Going On, I think it's a little overrated. I've never really thought it's the classic that people make it out to be.

I thought I was the only one who knew and loved this song. I'm surprised it doesnt get airplay anymore. It's defentiely one of his finest singles and most successful (#3 R&B). The vocals & the prodcution are excellent. This remind me of "Let's Get It On" but it's completly different. Another great & underrated single from this album is "You Sure Love To Ball". The song was an R&B hit #13 but it hasnt held up like "Distant Lover". One of my favorites by Marvin. Basically his singles were excellent.

All four singles from this album are classics IMO. I have a soft spot for "You Sure Love To Ball" though.
