This is a tragically underrated single of Teena's. It's from the It Must Be Magic album. It's a heartwrenching midtempo with flawless backing vocals. The backing vocals on Mariah Carey's "Underneath The Stars" were obviously influenced by the ones here. It peaked at #41 Black Singles in 1981.

You are right. This song is tragically underrated. I cant believe I'm seeing #41. This song deserved to atleast go Top 10 maybe even 5 or 1. I love the production on this track and Teena's voice is wonderful like always. She has never had the success she deserved and she's a very talented songwriter, singer and producer. I love this.

I love this song. I think Jill Jones helped out with the backing vocals on this one.
And I think this is actually from the Irons In The Fire album.
