This is probably my favorite Gladys Knight single. It has a very dreamy quality to it in parts, kind of like Aretha's "Daydreamin'" for me. Heartwrenching song and Gladys is just the queen of emotion. #1 Black Singles in 1973.

Gorgeous song, plain and simple. She is the only R&B vocalist to ever rival Aretha for her Queen Of Soul title IMO.

Not my favorite from GK, by any means. But this is a night light tune, with a pretty strong story and great lyrics.

"Midnight Train to Georgia" is my fav. Gladys song, but this is a close second. My favorite part: "So we go on, go on together, living a lie, because neither one of us wants to be the first to say goodbye." They won a pop group vocal grammy that year for this while winning r&b group vocal for "Train," the same year.
