This was one of Bobby Womack's last hits, released in 1982 from The Poet. It went to #3 Black Singles. It's my favorite Bobby Womack single without a doubt. Everything about the song captures the mood perfectly. It saw a minor resurgence this year for obvious reasons.

Classic. And easily his best single.

I've always thought this was a little bit too oversung. I like some of his 1970s hits more than I like this.

You thought his version was oversung, K-Ci took oversinging to another level. I dont know many Bobby Womack songs. I heard of couple of them before like "A Woman's Gotta Have It". I really love this song though but I cant say its my favorite since I havent heard everything by him.

A local old school station plays this every 5 minutes... I still enjoy it.
