This radio edit of this song is easily my favorite hit from Prince -- even though it's certainly not among his most successful or acclaimed. I'm hard pressed to think of many songs much smoother than this.
Seems like I remember someone saying that this song was sent to urban, while "Cream" was sent to pop. That probably explains why "Cream" never made the top 100 R&B, and "Insatiable" stalled at #80-something on the Hot 100.

This song for some reason remind me of "Adore" but "Adore" is like waaaay better then this one but I love "Insatiable". I think it's one of my favorite Prince tracks from the 90s. A very sexy slow JAM! The video is nice too.

In terms of slow jams, he has had much better (I prefer "Adore," "Slow Love," and "Scandalous"). But this is still solid.

That probably explains why "Cream" never made the top 100 R&B, and "Insatiable" stalled at #80-something on the Hot 100. it stalled @ #77, but i always wondered why cream didn't chart on the R&B charts and why Insationable was so low on the Hot 100 & so high on the R&B charts that explains alot.
