My favorite song ever! The title says it all. It's simple, just like the song itself. For me, it's the definitive love song. It's just as straight to the point as possible. Jeffrey Osborne perfects his vocal performance here. It was a big #1 R&B hit in 1976. George Benson covered it a few years later turning it into a poppy uptempo number, but it didn't experience the same urban success.

'74 or '76? Not that it really matters, but it was my parents favorite song when they first got married (so they told me), which leads me to believe that I may have been conceived by it LOL. This is definitely one of my favorite songs ever!

Ooh I think you're right because George Benson's was 1978 I believe and L.T.D.'s was two years earlier. I'll fix that.

This is just about my favorite slow jam from the 1970s. Jeffrey Osborne nails this one. I like the LTD material so much better than his solo recordings.
