This was from Me'Shell's most recent studio album, Comfort Woman, which came out in 2003. The album got a lot of hate, not necessarily for being a bad album in general but a lot of people thought it was subpar for her. A lot of people seem to think she lost her touch after the incredible Bitter. While I think Comfort Woman became very samey because of it being a sort of concept album with the whole spacey jam vibe, I still think it was one of the most R&B albums of 2003. I certainly preferred her being totally non-commercial with this over the disasterous commercial attempt with Cookie the year before. This was my favorite song on it. It was part three of the "Love Song" triology on the album. Everything about this song is sexy as hell. Her vocals are perfect and I love the guitar. It was one of the few songs on the album that I would consider to be catchy which wasn't really a top priority with this album, but it didn't really sacrifice anything else to pull off a good hook.
